Designing and Conducting Studies That Make a Difference in the Work of Texas Educators and the Learning of Texas Students

General Project Information
CREATE is an advocate of responsive research that can make a difference in the work of Texas educators and P-12 students.  For university faculty and advanced graduate students who share this passion and vision of research that matters, CREATE presents a unique professional development opportunity to enhance technical knowledge and research skills. 

Scope of Work
This workshop provides opportunities for participants to:

  • Identify important research questions of significant interest to public school about teacher quality issues
  • Employ research tools to support studies related to teacher quality
  • Use data to understand and interpret teacher production, retenmtion, and employment trends fo participants’ respective teacher preparation programs
  • Observe and experience collaborative research programs where university researchers and public school personnel are actively cooperating to address teacher quality issues.
